NEXT Saturday (September 2) sees the annual Keighley Show take place at Marley playing fields.
The inaugural Keighley & District Agricultural Show Society event was held in the town’s Victoria Park, in 1957.
There were 300 classes, with £900 awarded in prize money.
Tickets were 2s if bought in advance, or 2s 6d on the day.
During the week leading up to the event, two show rings and 28 marquees were erected – covering 30,000sqft of the park.
Over the years, the show has continued to flourish.
It has seen a change in venue and new attractions added with time, but retains the classic traditions of an agricultural showpiece event.
Here is a selection of photos from the past.
