A BOWLING club which just two years ago was on the verge of folding is now thriving.
Membership of Haworth Central Park Bowling Club dwindled to just ten in the wake of the pandemic restrictions.
But following a promotional campaign, new members came forward.
And as well as being heavily involved in community events, the club is now enjoying competitive success.
This year two teams played in the Worth Valley League, the Saturday open-age division three and over-60s veterans' division five, and both finished as champions.
"The club has gone from strength to strength," said a spokesperson.
"In the community, we've supported the Haworth 1940s and 1960s events, and participated in the Bowls4FUN initiative."
The club welcomes new members. Visit Haworthcentralparkbowlingclub.co.uk or call 07472 319043.
