Keighley's bus operator has teamed up with other organisations to improve services across Bradford district.
Transdev Keighley and District Travel is part of the new Bus Performance Improvement Partnership.
Aims include reducing journey times and improving the punctuality and reliability of services.
Initiatives could include giving buses priority at traffic signals, raised kerbs at bus stops and innovative ways to sell more tickets.
They will adjust timetables after studying data provided by the computerised "real-time" bus location system.
The system currently provides up-to-date information to passengers on display screens at some shops.
Keighley passengers will also benefit from measures to give priority to buses travelling on the main road between Keighley and Bradford.
These measures include equipment to detect buses at traffic signals and a review of bus lanes on the approach to Bradford.
