RESIDENTS in a South Craven parish are to have more say over future planning decisions.
North Yorkshire Council’s executive has approved the Bradleys Both Neighbourhood Development Plan.
Residents took part in a referendum over the proposed plan during the summer, and 80 per cent voted in favour.
North Yorkshire Council’s executive member for planning, Councillor Derek Bastiman, says: "Neighbourhood plans contribute to our Council Plan, supporting local people to become more actively involved in their communities.
"It also gives us an opportunity to set out and deliver a countywide approach to tackling climate change and reducing carbon emissions, including policies to guide those aims within the designated area."
The document will form part of the statutory development plan, along with the adopted Craven Local Plan.
