AIREDALE NHS Foundation Trust’s armed forces advocate has been recognised for his work.
Martin Flint-Johnson received a bronze accolade at the English Veterans Awards.
He was one of seven finalists in the Inspiration of the Year category.
The ex-serviceman took up his role with Airedale NHS Foundation Trust last November.
As part of his post, Martin works to identify veterans or serving personnel who come into the hospital and seeks out additional support that may be available to them.
He also raises the profile of the armed forces.
Martin says: "It was an honour to be shortlisted for the award as it means my work is making a difference.
"I was incredibly proud just to be nominated, never mind receiving the bronze award.
"I'd like to thank all the staff at the trust for their support, help and guidance. I wouldn't have been able to do my role without them."
