AROUND a dozen Keighley-district pubs are listed in the latest Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) Good Beer Guide.
They are among 4,500 hostelries across the UK, and 396 in Yorkshire, spotlighted by the 51st edition of the best-selling book.
The Good Beer Guide, published annually by CAMRA, also keeps track of brewery numbers – which have seen a net loss of 60 UK-wide.
Independent volunteers collate the information for the book.
CAMRA chair, Nik Antona, says: "The last few years have been an incredibly difficult time for the industry, and we need more support than ever before to keep our nation’s pubs and breweries open and thriving.
"I would encourage everyone to use this year’s guide to visit the very best pubs and breweries across the UK and support them for generations to come."
Keighley-area pubs listed in the guide include The Bay Horse, Oxenhope; Brown Cow, Keighley; Craven Brew Co Tap Room, Cross Hills; The Dog & Gun, Oxenhope; The Fleece, Haworth; The Friendly, Stanbury; Gallagher's, Cross Hills; Oakworth Social Club; The Slater's Arms, Bradley; The Snooty Fox, Oakworth; Taylor's on the Green, Keighley, and Wuthering Heights, Stanbury.
The Good Beer Guide 2024 is available, priced £15.99, at shop1.camra.org.uk/product/the-good-beer-guide-2024.
