A BABY wellbeing day in Keighley's Airedale Shopping Centre proved a huge success.
More than 200 babies and their families attended the event.
A host of advice and information was available, on topics ranging from breastfeeding to immunisations.
There was also a baby weighing facility.
It's now planned to hold a drop-in service at the centre alternate Thursday mornings, for families with young babies.
The event was supported by a number of organisations and services, including the Airedale maternity team, Modality, the Wharfedale Airedale & Craven Alliance, Keighley Healthy Living, Keighley Library, Highfield Community Association, the Imagination Library, Family Action, Living Well, Better Start Bradford, The Hive, Ready to Relate, Maternity Voices Partnership, the schools vaccination and immunisation service, and the oral health improvement team.
Organiser Abbie Wild, a midwife, said: "This was a fantastic event to be a part of. To get all the services together and young families engaged was great.
"We look forward to running more events in the near future."
Bill Graham, from Modality, who helped get the GP surgeries involved, said: "It was one of the best health events we have held – and we weighed more than one ton of babies during the day!"
