GROUPS are being offered cut-price travel by rail operator Northern – but with a warning!
The company, which runs services on the Airedale line, says groups of ten or more can claim 75 per cent off the cost of bookings this winter.
But the operator has issued a plea to hen and stag parties in particular to ensure their onboard behaviour shows respect to staff and other passengers.
To be eligible for the discount, bookings must be made before November 6 and apply to travel between then and the end of February next year.
Mark Powles, for Northern, says: "Our network connects people to the best nightlife, attractions, activities and landscapes the north of England has to offer – and with our ‘groups winter sale’ there’s never been a better time to book.
"We do, however, have a responsibility to all our customers to ensure large groups show respect to other passengers, our trains and colleagues.
"We want everyone to make the train their number one choice for group travel, and hope that our sale will help convert groups from road to rail.
"Sports teams, walking parties and other social groups are also amongst those eligible for the sale discount."
