KEIGHLEY Trefoil Guild has donated 17 'dignity bags' for Airedale Hospital's maternity unit.

The bags were handed over – for a collection by the town's Soroptimists – at the annual West Yorkshire North County Trefoil Guild service of friendship, held at Keighley Shared Church.

An Oakworth Guide unit made the bags, and they were filled by Trefoil members.

The bags contain a wide range of items, such as toiletries.

Keighley Guild chair Margaret Bailey made the presentation to the president of Soroptimist International Keighley, Lynne Hibberd, who had given a talk at a Guides Interest Day earlier this year about the work of Soroptimists locally.

The talk inspired the donation.

Guests at the service included the West Yorkshire Deputy Lieutenant David Pearson and Keighley MP Robbie Moore.
