A KEIGHLEY pub is flushed with pride after receiving an accolade for the standard of its loos.
Wetherspoon's premises The Livery Rooms, in North Street, have achieved a platinum rating in this year's Loo of the Year Awards.
As part of the awards programme, inspectors make unannounced visits to thousands of toilets at sites across the UK.
Judging is based on factors including decor and maintenance, cleanliness, accessibility, hand washing and drying equipment, and overall management.
Loos that make the grade can be awarded ratings including silver, gold, platinum, platinum plus or diamond.
Sophie Turner, manager of The Livery Rooms, says: "We are absolutely delighted with the award.
"Staff at the pub ensure the toilets are in excellent condition at all times, and it is great that this has been recognised by the inspectors."
Becky Wall, managing director of the Loo of the Year Awards, pays tribute to the pub.
She says: "The awards are aimed at highlighting and improving standards of 'away from home' toilet provision across the UK.
"The toilets at The Livery Rooms have been designed and fitted out to a very high standard, and are both clean and well maintained.
"The pub deserves its platinum award."
