KEIGHLEY Lions have been making a spectacle of themselves – and they're delighted!
Members spent an evening sorting donated specs and cases, which will be recycled.
Around 30 boxes containing thousands of pairs of glasses were processed, from Lions Club areas including Keighley, Bradford, Huddersfield, Shipley and Bingley.
Keighley club president, Allan Clark, says: "We would like to thank our volunteers who did such a good job sorting the glasses, which were kindly donated by the public.
"Our campaign is part of a national effort to recycle as many glasses as possible, which is good for our environment.
"If you would like to donate a pair, please visit one of the drop-off spots throughout the district, and please get in touch if you would like to host a collection box."
Drop-off points include Boots Opticians in Keighley, Bingley Health Centre and Shipley Library.
