A KEIGHLEY community centre has been celebrated at a Downing Street reception.
The Sangat Centre was amongst organisations from across the UK recognised for their community contributions.
Riasat Ali and Imran Ahmad, from the Marlborough Street premises, attended the reception.
The event was hosted by the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Michael Gove.
Extensive refurbishments have recently been carried out at the Sangat Centre, supported by £370,500 in Government funding.
The range of services provided from the site includes social day care, adult education and youth clubs.
Keighley MP Robbie Moore nominated the centre for recognition.
He says: "The centre works tirelessly for our community, providing crucial services that touch the lives of so many.
"It was therefore an honour to nominate it for recognition and to hear how the Government's direct investment is helping to rebuild the centre into a fantastic community space.
"I really do commend the Sangat Centre for its outstanding contribution to Keighley, and this celebration at 10 Downing Street was a testament to the impactful work it does."
The Sangat Centre said it was hugely grateful for the Government's support in renovating the building, which had been in desperate need of repairs and upgrades.
