KEIGHLEY Men's Forum has learned more about the replacement of a canal swing bridge.
Member Alwyn Pickles showed a film to colleagues charting the operation to replace the structure spanning the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, at Leach Road, Riddlesden.
The work was carried out in the early months of 2016.
A temporary service bridge had to be installed prior to the removal of the old structure, which had been in use for four decades.
Considerable preparatory work was needed, including the trimming of trees, strengthening of stone walls and widening of site access roads.
Mr Pickles' film was accompanied by commentary from fellow member Bruce Saxton, which outlined some of the problems encountered during the project.
Both members were thanked by forum president Rod Fall.
