PEOPLE can get their bicycles security marked at an event in Keighley next Saturday (January 27).
Officers from West Yorkshire Police are staging the session in the Victoria Hall car park, between noon and 2pm.
The Keighley Neighbourhood Policing Team and police community support officers will be present.
Bikes will be marked and added for free to Bike Register, a national police-approved database.
All UK police forces have access to the database, helping to reunite recovered stolen bikes with their owners.
Once security marked, the bike will have a label applied warning would-be thieves.
Over 1.3 million bikes are registered with the initiative, run by Selectamark.
Members can also use the service when buying a second-hand bike to help them avoid acquiring a stolen one.
