YOUNG people keen to play their part in tackling serious violent crime and exploitation in the region are being sought.
The West Yorkshire Youth Commission is recruiting new members, aged 14-25.
The commission was launched last year as part of an initiative with the West Yorkshire Violence Reduction Partnership and Leaders Unlocked, which gives young people a voice in relation to health and wellbeing.
Since it was founded, the commission has focused on priority areas including gangs, drugs and knife crime, and developed recommendations.
Detective Chief Supt Lee Berry, director of the West Yorkshire Violence Reduction Partnership, says: "The youth commission has been instrumental in shaping our approach to serious violence and exploitation. By approaching our work through the eyes of a young person, we can reach those at greatest risk."

The deadline for applications is February 29.
