CAMPAIGNERS fighting for proportional representation in the Commons will bring their message to Keighley on Saturday (February 10).
Members of the Yorkshire branch of Make Votes Matter will have a stall in the Airedale Shopping Centre, between 11am and 2pm.
The group will chat to members of the public and have a range of information – including petitions that can be sent to MPs – available.
Andrew Vaux, Make Votes Matter West Yorkshire communications officer, says: "The grassroots movement has a vital role to play in building public understanding and support, persuading leaders to actively campaign for equal votes, and holding those leaders to their word.
"We hope as many people as possible will make the time to call by for a chat, pick up leaflets and stickers, plus postcards to send to your MP, or just say ‘hi’. Please do make yourself known, as we’ll be pleased to have you with us."
