WOMEN'S Institute members visited a Silsden care home – and for some the trip had special poignancy.
Several of the Cononley WI contingent used to work at the home, Springbank, when it was under previous ownership.
Members were given a tour by home manager, Lisa Noble.
She says: "It was lovely to show the ladies around.
"We chatted about Springbank and its former life, as the home of a mill owner.
"I learned a lot from the former staff, including that the mill owner was from Lancashire, which is why our stained-glass windows feature red roses!
"It was wonderful to see the ladies chatting with residents – and we would love to invite other members of the community to visit Springbank, as volunteers."

Springbank is run by Spellman Care, which also operates Steeton Court, Craven Nursing Home in Skipton and Ghyll Royd Care Home, Guiseley.
