A KEIGHLEY performing arts academy is turning on the style.
BOLT Academy has unveiled plans for three 'shows in a week' this year.
And the first is taking place from April 1 to 5.
The initiative will see children working with academy staff at the BOLT studios, in Lawkholme Lane, Monday to Thursday, between 9am and 3pm.
And then on the Friday, the day will be spent at Victoria Hall preparing for a late-afternoon show for an audience of parents, friends and family.
The first show this year is the hit musical Everybody's Talking About Jamie.
It will be followed, from August 5 to 9, by High School Musical.
Third up is Footloose the Musical, from August 12 to 16.
Freddie Bolt, for the academy, says: "We are very excited about all three shows we've chosen this year.
"They will each follow the same structure.
"Our 'shows in a week' are open to all children aged six-plus. No experience is needed and you don't need to be an academy student – just come along and enjoy being part of the team for that week!"
The cost for the week is £135, which includes a special T-shirt, a pizza and chips lunch on the Thursday and two complimentary tickets for the end-of-week show.
A day rate is available for children who can't attend the full week.
To be able to perform in the final show, students must attend for three-plus days.
Freddie adds: "As ever we only have limited places available, and they are allocated on a first-come first-served basis. So if anyone would like to book onto any of our 'shows in a week', please get in contact with our team now!"

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie ran in the West End’s Apollo Theatre from October, 2017, to great acclaim.
It embarked on its first national tour in 2020 and made its North American debut two years later.
BOLT Academy was last year the subject of glowing praise from Keighley MP Robbie Moore after it performed Snow White and the 37 Dwarfs, at Bingley Arts Centre, over five nights.
He said: "The hard work and talent on display from the academy’s young performers was truly outstanding – it was one of the best performances I've ever seen.
"I can't thank BOLT Academy enough for all it does for our young people across Keighley and beyond."
