TWO Keighley men have been jailed for drugs offences.
Khalid Azam and Christopher Shepherd were found to have more than 200 individual deals of heroin and crack cocaine – with a street value of £2,200 – when they were arrested in December, 2022.
Azam, 41, of Edensor Road, and Shepherd, 35, of Guard House Grove, were charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
Both admitted the charges part way through their trial.
At Bradford Crown Court, Azam was jailed for four years and three months, and Shepherd for three years and seven months.
The investigation, carried out by the police Bradford Precision Team as part of an operation combating county lines offences in Keighley, was supported with funding from the National County Lines Co-ordination Centre.
Detective Inspector Helen Chapman, of Bradford Precision Team, says: "Illegal drugs will not be tolerated in our communities and this operation demonstrates that we will target those who are involved in drug dealing and organised crime.
"We work with neighbourhood policing teams and partners to make the streets safer.
"I would like to thank local communities which provide us with intelligence, so we're able to target and disrupt those associated with this criminal trade."
