KVU Singers – the choir which began life as Keighley Vocal Union – is staging its spring concert next Saturday (March 23).
Although entitled Music for Holy Week, the event will feature a wide range of works.
Music director and conductor Frank Smith's selections range from Palestrina’s Stabat Mater to Songs and Cries of London Town, plus excerpts from Messiah (Part 2) and three Bruckner motets.
Guest soloists are mezzo soprano Samantha Oxborough and soprano Grace O’Malley.
Samantha has performed with the choir previously, and in 2022 sang at the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony.
Grace is a graduate of the Royal College of Music and is well known for her charitable work, having raised over £100,000 for various causes through concerts and sales of CDs.
The concert is at Christ Church, Skipton, starting at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £10; £5 for the first child only.
