A WORTH Valley farming duo has won recognition at a Downing Street reception.
Rob and Helen Goulding were among 'food and farming champions' from across the UK nominated to attend the event.
Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Steve Barclay, was present.
The Gouldings farm on the outskirts of Oxenhope, where they have a 300-strong herd of dairy cattle and supply milk to Arla, a farmer-owned co-operative.
Helen has also been a key figure in the Worth Valley Young Farmers, an organisation catering for people aged 10-28.
They were nominated to attend the Downing Street reception by Keighley MP, Robbie Moore.
He says: "It was a real privilege to nominate Rob and Helen as our local farming champions.
"Their commitment to quality food and farming extends well beyond their farm gates, and it's always brilliant to see local people celebrated on the national stage.
"I am incredibly proud to represent farmers and growers like Rob and Helen right across Keighley, Ilkley, Silsden and the Worth Valley.
"They all work tirelessly, going above and beyond every day to grow and produce the very best food for us all to enjoy. Remember – no farmers, no food, no future."
