DO we have a desert, contaminated land or implantable rocky moorland, or am I missing something here?
I thought Bradford Council was close to bankruptcy, and yet someone wants to spend millions on a solar farm.
We have more wind than sun, so I have a simple solution.
Recently Octopus Energy advertised that if anyone knew of land that it could put wind turbines on, it would install the turbines for free and people in the vicinity would be eligible for reduced-price electricity.
To waste agricultural or grazing land on a cockamamie idea like a solar farm? The answer must be no.
