KEIGHLEY Horticultural Society is staging its latest initiative to inspire budding new gardeners.
It is giving away chrysanthemum cuttings – for one hour only!
National chrysanthemum grower, Alan Smith, will be offering the free cuttings – together with advice – at the horticultural trading hut in Rawdon Street, off Fell Lane, Keighley, on Saturday, May 4, between 11am and noon.
"The offer is limited to one cutting per person – and when they're gone, they're gone!" said a society spokesperson.
"Why not then bring your plant along to Keighley Horticultural Show on Saturday, September 7? There will free entry into Class 102 for those who bring a plant grown from Alan’s cuttings!"
The event takes place at Marley playing fields, as part of Keighley Show.
