A CAR-buying company's Keighley branch is supporting a charity fundraising drive.

The webuyanycar outlet at Keighley Retail Park, in Hard Ings Road, is coining-in cash for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

Activities will run from Monday (April 22) until Sunday, April 28.

Cookies and charity pin badges will be on offer, whilst stocks last, in exchange for donations.

The Keighley webuyanycar branch is among seven in Yorkshire and 100 nationally taking part in the initiative.

Staff at some outlets are also fundraising on stationary bikes.

Proceeds are going to the charity's Build It Beat It campaign, which is raising funds for a new children’s cancer centre at the hospital.

Hayley Thompson, for webuyanycar, says: "This is the third year we’ve worked with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, and so far the team has raised over £21,000. We’re aiming to double that this month alone.

"It is such an important cause.

"Cancer is the biggest killer of children aged one to 14 in the UK and while Great Ormond Street already cares for youngsters with the hardest-to-treat cancers, the rapidly changing pace of treatment has outstripped existing facilities at the hospital and it now needs a new centre."
