AN opticians has staged its annual competition with a village primary school.
Airedale Opticians once again teamed up with Glusburn Community Primary School for the initiative, which helps spotlight the importance of children's eye care.
Year 3 pupils were invited to design spectacles on Easter eggs and give their creations names, and the artwork was displayed in the window of Airedale Opticians' Cross Hills branch until after the half-term holidays.
Winner was Arlo Kurasz, with his creation Big Barry. Runner-up was Rose Langstaff, with Krarat, and third was Imogen Birch, with Colourful.
A spokesperson for Airedale Opticians says: "We always enjoy looking through the designs that the children come up with, and people passing by the practice stop to have a look at the artwork."
