A 'BUG hotel' is opening in Keighley.
The insect habitat will be created, from old wooden pallets, at the town's railway station.
Undergraduates working with train operator Northern on its Year in Industry programme are leading workshops with school children as part of the initiative, in conjunction with Bentham Community Rail Partnership.
Bug hotels are also being provided at Giggleswick and Long Preston stations, on the Bentham Line.
Mike Roe, for Northern, says: "We’re committed to making a positive contribution to the environmental sustainability of areas in which we operate.
"Bug hotels are a small but practical solution to increase biodiversity at our stations and I'll be excited to see the end result of the hard work by our Year in Industry colleagues and schools."
