PLANS are underway for two village galas this summer.
Oakworth Gala, organised by the village society, takes place on Saturday, July 6.
The procession will assemble at Windsor Road at 1pm and set off an hour later, making its way through the village to the gala field.
Attractions at the field will include stalls, entertainment and children's races.
And the annual run, the Oakworth Haul, will be held. It covers a four-mile route, starting and finishing at the field.
Organisers would like to hear from any groups interested in taking part in this year's procession or having a stall – or both.
Also, children and adults are encouraged to participate in fancy dress.

Lees cum Cross Roads Village Gala takes place the following weekend, on Saturday, July 13.
The procession – led by the Phoenix New Orleans jazz band – will set off from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Halifax Road, at 1pm.
This year's gala has a nursery rhymes theme.
There will be a wide range of attractions at the gala field, including entertainment from MOOV with Oona, BOLT Academy and other children's groups.
