A SILSDEN nanny is co-hosting a national event looking at the history of the role.
Maria Culley – and Allie Bell, from Surrey – are staging the History of the British Nanny Exhibition.
And they are appealing for artwork – including drawings, paintings and collages – showing nannies at work, created by their charges.
"The exhibition will delve into the history of British nannies over the last 150 years," says Maria.
"We would like to display the artwork as part of the event.
"The Hive community hub in Silsden has kindly agreed to act as a collection point for submissions."
Work should be submitted by next month.
The exhibition – which will also feature photos depicting nannies across the years – takes place at The Depot, Wenlock Road, London, on July 13, from 10am to 4pm.
Funds are being raised for the National Nanny Association.
