RAIL firm Northern – which runs services on the Airedale line – is reminding passengers that no trains will operate next Thursday (May 9) due to strike action.
Members of the train drivers' union, ASLEF, are staging another walkout as part of their long-running dispute over pay and conditions.
In its latest action, the union has called multiple strikes on different days at train operators across the country.
Northern advises that due to the nature of the strikes, any of its passengers intending to connect with services provided by other companies should check before they travel for all journeys planned between Monday (May 6) and Saturday, May 11.
Tricia Williams, chief operating officer for Northern, says: "Unfortunately, the action by ASLEF next Thursday (May 9) will see our network grind to a halt.
"On the days when strikes are taking place with other train operators, our services are likely to be busier as passengers seek alternative routes. We will do everything we can to keep our services moving and absorb those extra passengers trying to travel across the region.
"We can only apologise, once again, for the disruption this action by ASLEF will cause to people."
