A PUBLIC governor is being sought to represent Keighley on the Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust council.
Five public seats in total are up for grabs, covering several constituencies.
Laura Parsons, associate director of corporate governance and board secretary at the trust, says: "The council of governors has an essential role in making our foundation trust publicly accountable for the services it provides.
"It's important that people stand as governors so that we have the voices of our communities influencing decisions.
"We actively encourage people to take part in aspects of hospital life and this is one more way the public can get involved."
Candidates must be a foundation trust member, aged 16 or over and live in the area they wish to represent.
