A KEIGHLEY employee has been named amongst the 'Top 100 Young Achievers' across the building materials sector.

Tom Metcalfe, of Harrison & Clough, said he was "delighted" to be nominated for the accolade.

The awards are organised by national trade body the Builders Merchants Federation, and Builders’ Merchants News.

Tom – fixings product manager at Harrison & Clough, in Harclo Road – says: "I'm really delighted to have been nominated as a Top 100 Young Achiever, alongside some great people within the industry.

"Thank you to everyone at Harrison & Clough who has supported me throughout my career – this wouldn’t have been possible without them."

Tribute is paid by Builders Merchants Federation chief executive, John Newcomb.

He says: "The federation is an active supporter of young people working within the building materials supply sector, and this initiative celebrates the contributions of those who will carry the industry forward in the future.

"After the success of previous initiatives, we were delighted to partner with Builders’ Merchants News to highlight the achievements of the Top 100 Young Achievers.

"This accolade reflects the positive influence Tom has had on the people around him and on the wider building materials industry."

All those nominated have featured in a commemorative brochure and were invited to a celebratory dinner and networking event in Sutton Coldfield.
