A SCHOOL has spoken of its pride after pupils shone in cross country races.
Children at Oxenhope Primary were amongst youngsters from across the Keighley district who took part in the inter-schools event.
And at the end of the open races, four Oxenhope pupils had performed well enough to qualify as 'wild cards' for a selection event.
"All the children performed amazingly well – running against some other children who are part of running clubs," said Oxenhope Primary School headteacher, Mrs Alice Jones.
"We're so proud of them.
"We work hard to make sure children can fulfill their potential, with lots of opportunities outside school time, and it is great to see them doing something they love. I know their families are just as proud."
