A BARCLAYS Local is to open in Keighley Civic Centre.
The facility will be launched on Monday, August 12 – three days after the closure of the bank's nearby branch.
Barclays announced in February that it was shutting its North Street premises – attributing the move to changes in the way people bank, with most customers now using online services.
The Local provision will operate weekdays, between 9.30am-12.30pm and 1pm-3.30pm.
Customers will be able to access support including with digital banking, financial reviews, balance checks, opening accounts, and making transfers and bill payments. There will also be community fraud and scams awareness events.
The service will be cashless, so people won't be able to use it to make cash deposits or withdrawals.
A Barclays spokesperson says: "We are committed to deploying a range of more flexible ways that customers can physically interact with the bank. This now includes over 350 banking sites located in town and city centres in spaces such as community centres, libraries and business hubs, offering drop-in services and pre-booked appointments."
