A CHILDREN'S choir from Uganda is performing in Keighley as part of a three-month UK tour.
Watoto Children’s Choir is giving a free concert at St Andrew's Church, Church Green, on Tuesday, June 18, at 7pm.
During the tour, the choir – which has performed for the late Queen Elizabeth II and US presidents – will entertain an estimated 100,000 people at venues including, churches, schools and community spaces.
It will perform songs from its album, Better Days-There Is Hope.
The choir's Keighley appearance is one of only two in Yorkshire.
A spokesperson says: "The production is vibrant and colourful, taking you on an emotional journey as the children sing and dance and share their personal stories of restoration and hope.
"They remind us that no matter what you may be going through, there is hope.
"The concert will also help raise awareness of the incredible work being carried out by Watoto, caring for vulnerable women and placing orphans in loving families across Uganda and South Sudan.
"What better way to learn about Watoto's work than through this heartwarming, musical performance."
