PEOPLE eligible for a Covid-19 spring vaccination booster have just a week left to get their jab.
The current programme – aimed at people aged 75 plus, those over six months with a weakened immune system and older adult care home residents – ends next Sunday (June 30).
NHS chiefs say that in West Yorkshire, more than 155,000 people had their booster in the first ten weeks of the campaign.
And nationally, over four million vaccines have been delivered.
But some people who qualify have still not come forward.
Dr James Thomas, a GP and medical director at NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board, says: "I am so pleased to see that over 155,000 local people have had their vaccination, and regionally we have vaccinated almost everyone eligible in residential care homes.
"Covid-19 remains a dangerous illness, so it is vital that people come forward for their top-up jab if eligible.
"We have made it even easier to get protected, with joint bookings online for at risk people over 18. People can book via the NHS app, call 119 for free or visit the NHS website for a list of walk-in sites that you can go to without an appointment."
