A CHARITY football team has netted several thousand pounds for Alzheimer's Research UK.

Members of Craven for Change FC raised the cash through taking part in the gruelling Total Warrior obstacle course challenge, at Bramham Park, Leeds.

With gift aid, nearly £4,000 has been coined in. Donations can still be made at justgiving.com/team/cravenforchangehelpingaruk

Chinny Singh, for the team, says: "We had a great day. On a personal level, I completed the event in memory of my mum.

"We'll continue to do work in the community to help others."

Craven for Change FC was founded in 2022 by a group of friends, with the aim of keeping active and raising money for good causes.

Last year, it achieved a milestone of £10,000 raised since its formation.
