LOUISE Barton has stepped down as chair of Keighley Musical Theatre Company after more than three decades at the helm of the society.
Glowing tribute has been paid to her "leadership, enthusiasm and tireless dedication" over the years.
She was presented with a bouquet of flowers, and received a string of messages, in a salute to her contribution.
Louise said: "I would like to thank everyone so much for the beautiful flowers and the many messages I received on my stepping down as chair of Keighley Musical Theatre Company.
"It has been a rewarding and sometimes challenging role to play, but I am sure my successor – Colin Mitchell – will prove to be an excellent chair. He has integrity, positivity and calmness. Also, he will be supported by a dedicated and experienced committee to take our company forward."
But Louise is not exiting the society stage altogether – she has accepted the honorary role of president.
A spokesperson said: "Louise has dedicated over 30 years to the running of the society, demonstrating unwavering commitment and passion that has been instrumental in shaping the vibrant and dynamic community that Keighley Musical Theatre Company is today.
"Throughout her tenure, she has been a cornerstone of the society, guiding it through numerous productions, fostering a love for the arts and ensuring that the company remains a cherished part of Keighley's cultural landscape. All members of the society will deeply miss her leadership, enthusiasm and tireless dedication.
"Louise has graciously accepted the honorary role of president and in this new capacity she will continue to lend her invaluable support and experience, aiding in the seamless transition as Colin steps into the role of chair.
"The entire Keighley Musical Theatre Company community expresses its deepest gratitude to Louise and warmly welcomes Colin as the new chair, confident in his ability to lead the company into a bright and exciting future."
And Mark Remde, for the society, voices his thanks.
He says: "Louise has given her all over the years, and her dedication has been nothing short of inspiring.
"We are immensely grateful for her long and dedicated service to Keighley Musical Theatre Company. She will be greatly missed as our chair, but we look forward to her continued involvement as president."
