A SCHEME launched by Keighley Parish to tackle isolation and loneliness amongst over-55s staged a trip to Skipton.
Seventeen people took part in the LinkAge outing, which included a barge trip and a fish-and-chips meal at Bizzie Lizzie's.
"It was a huge success – with plenty of laughter!" says co-ordinator Aston Cooney.
"Over-55s are welcome to come along to our sessions, enjoy light refreshments and try fun activities, and join our day trips – we have many more to look forward to, next stop Carlisle!"
Sessions are at St Mark’s Church, Utley, on Mondays, 1pm to 4pm; St Barnabas Church, Thwaites Brow, on Tuesdays, noon to 3pm, and St John's Church, Ingrow, on Thursdays, also noon-3pm.
