PUPILS have won high praise following a poetry competition.
The contest was open to students from across the Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust – which includes Cullingworth, East Morton and Oxenhope primary schools.
Entrants were invited to submit poems that demonstrated their individual ambitions and dreams for the future, linked to a theme of aspiration.
East Morton Primary School headteacher Anne Proctor, who co-led the initiative, said: "Our pupils produced some marvellous poetry.
"I would very much like to run something similar next summer, linked to photography, to find out what images the children will capture.
"The trust is a forward thinking, professional learning community that is dedicated to the development of excellence, both for our pupils and for the adults who serve and teach them."
