A POPULAR village fete is back.

And the event, being held at Oxenhope on Saturday, July 20, features some new attractions alongside familiar favourites.

A spokesperson for the organisers says: "Following a bumper turnout last year, this year's fun-packed afternoon promises even more entertainment and frolics! Everyone is invited to come along and join in."

Making its debut will be the award-winning Walkabout Theatre Group.

There will also be a birds of prey interactive flying show courtesy of Owl Adventures, and the ever-popular fun dog show will take place.

Other attractions lined up include live music, Jungle Animal Encounters, street food vendors, ice creams, a beer tent, duck race, children's races, axe throwing and an artisan market.

The fete takes place on Oxenhope's millennium green, from 1pm.

Hundreds of people turned out for last year's event, which marked the fete's return after an enforced three-year absence due to the pandemic.
