PEOPLE and organisations across the district are being invited to tee off to raise funds for a care trust charity.

Better Lives, which supports Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust, is staging its annual golf day.

The event takes place at Bradford Golf Club on Thursday, July 25.

There will be a ‘shotgun’ start, with all teams teeing off at 2pm from one of the course’s 18 holes.

Tickets are £250 for a team of four, which includes the golf, a meal, winners' presentation and chance to win a £10,000 hole-in-one prize.

All proceeds will help fund additional activities for patients and carers across the trust's hospital and community services, above and beyond the core NHS provision.

Anyone wishing to enter a team, or interested in sponsorship opportunities, should email Better Lives at betterlivescharity@bdct.nhs.uk

Catherine Jowitt, head of charity and volunteering at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust, says: "This is our third golf tournament and it gets better every year. We’re really grateful to Bradford Golf Club which is kindly hosting and to all the local businesses and people who are supporting the day. It should be a fantastic event in an amazing setting. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone."
