A FAULTY electric heater caused a blaze on the fifth floor of a Keighley high-rise block of flats, West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service has confirmed.
The fire broke out in an apartment at Kennedy House, Hainworth Lane, last Friday evening.
Crews from Keighley, Bingley, Illingworth, Fairweather Green, Bradford, Cookridge, Halifax and Shipley fire stations attended, plus an aerial appliance was sent to the scene.
The police and ambulance service were also in attendance.
The fire was contained to a single flat, but residents were evacuated from the fifth and sixth floors as a precaution whilst firefighters dealt with the incident.
No one was injured.
