A KEIGHLEY family trio is taking on Britain's highest mountain to raise funds for Manorlands.

Sajjad Sadiq, his 15-year-old son Sohail and nephew Subhaan Akram, 14, are tackling 1,345-metre-high Ben Nevis on August 26.

They have set up an online fundraising page, at justgiving.com/page/sajjad-sadiq-1721586459967, with the aim of coining-in £1,000 for the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.

This will be Sajjad's fourth ascent of the Scottish peak, and Sohail's second, but for Subhaan it's a new experience.

"We're aiming to raise as much as possible for Manorlands and are asking people to please donate whatever they can for this amazing cause," says Sajjad.

"The care they provide at the hospice and in the community is incredible and it’s vitally important to support them however we can."

Sajjad, of Hainworth Wood Community Kitchen, is no stranger to hospice fundraising.

Earlier this year he and colleagues staged a series of charity car washes.
