REGARDING the consultation on how £20 million should be spent in and around Keighley, perhaps some of it could be used on cleaning-up the facades of the Victorian properties in North Street – and then after the clean-up, the owners of the properties can be made to pay for the privilege. Maybe then these properties could be put into the occupancy portfolio for people who work in the private sector.
The dilapidation that has been allowed in this town has been a sore point for years.
And maybe now that Robbie Moore has been retained as our MP and getting us out of Bradford is still on his agenda, this town could be the envy of every town in the UK.
Malcolm Balmforth, Keighley
