TRANSDEV – which runs Keighley Bus Company – is celebrating three international accreditations.
The firm has been awarded certification for quality, sustainability and safety by ISO, the International Organisation for Standardisation.
Transdev operations director, Vitto Pizzuti, says: "ISO standards are agreed internationally by experts and act as a formula which sets out the best way for us to provide a safe and efficient service to our customers – from our engineering workshops through to the end of a customer’s journey with us.
"ISO encourages the highest standards across our business, giving our customers the confidence that when they choose to travel with us, they can be assured that every aspect of what we do has been measured against a globally-recognised set of benchmarks that are all about making things better, easier and above all, safer.
"We will now implement the three ISO standards across our business over the next 12 months."
A company-wide standards team – led by head of operations Alan Isherwood – will work to ensure compliance at all the firm's depots, including Keighley.
An ISO spokesperson says: "Our organisation brings together global experts to agree on the best way of doing things – for anything from making a product to managing a process. The international standards published by ISO serve to make lives easier, safer and better."
