A RESIDENTIAL home has gone 'green'.
Summerfield, in Skipton Road, Silsden, has had solar panels installed.
Sandra Santos, activities co-ordinator at the home, says: "Summerfield – like many residential homes – has faced a considerable expense when it comes to heating, no matter what the time of year.
"The colossal increases in energy prices have left a lot of care home owners worried about the long-term financial impact these rising costs could have on their businesses.
"Taking into consideration our residents and the future of running the home, we have decided to make a considerable investment and go green by installing solar panels.
"Hopefully most of our energy will now be non-pollutant and powered by nature."
Summerfield home provides accommodation for more than 30 residents.
