A FORMER church could be converted into a house.
Plans have been submitted to Bradford Council for the conversion of the old Slack Lane Baptist Church building, near Oakworth, into a three-bed home.
A dwindling congregation led to the closure of the church in 2018.
The building, in Mackingstone Lane, had operated as a place of worship for nearly 200 years.
Following its closure, it was put on the market.
The planning application – submitted by a Mr Harney – is seeking a change of use from church to dwelling, with external alterations comprising the fitting of a new garage door.
According to the application, refurbishment work at the property started in May.
Planners are expected to make a decision on the application next month.
