KEIGHLEY housing group Incommunities is offering school uniform vouchers to families struggling with the cost of living.

Members of its Money Matters team will help identify tenants in need of assistance.

Levels of support offered will vary depending on individual needs and circumstances.

Families granted vouchers will be able to use them at Asda, Sainsbury's, Matalan, Aldi or Morrisons.

For branded items, vouchers may be spent at Whitakers of Shipley, and Incommunities is seeking to get other school shops across the district on board.

People can refer themselves to the team online at incommunities.co.uk/money-matters-referral-form or by emailing moneymatters@incommunities.co.uk

Money Matters team manager, Emma Warden, says: "We know that this time of year can be a real challenge for our customers who have children. They have to feed and entertain the youngsters over the holidays, and for those who work, they may also face the cost of childcare.

"Added to existing challenges with the rising cost of living, these families then also have to find the money for school uniform ready for the new term.

"We realise that this can often push parents to breaking point. That’s why we’re offering our families vouchers to help cover the cost of school uniform."
