A KEIGHLEY-district school is celebrating a "brilliant" set of results in A-levels and Level 3 vocational courses.
South Craven School, Cross Hills, says 45 per cent of grades were at A*-B for A-levels and D*-D for vocational courses – nine per cent up on last year.
"Congratulations to all students in Year 13 – they have achieved a brilliant set of results," says headteacher, Martyn Hill.
"We are very proud of the achievements of this cohort of students, especially considering the challenges they have faced throughout their years in school.
"I also want to extend my congratulations and gratitude to parents and families, who have supported the students so strongly. And thank you to the staff, who work so hard to ensure students achieve their potential."
Head of sixth form, Caroline Taylor, says: "This year group has worked so hard over the last two years, and I want to congratulate each and every one of them. Their hard work has paid off and they are now ready for their next adventure! I wish them all the very best of luck with their future plans."
The students will now be going on to study at a wide range of universities, or taking up apprenticeships or degree apprenticeships.
The school is operating its usual post-results service for any student who needs advice or guidance.
