TWO village councillors took action to tackle weeds and overgrown vegetation.
Luke Maunsell and Mark Curtis, who represent Oakworth on Keighley Town Council, spent a morning targeting areas of their ward.
They focused their efforts around Woodlands and Waterwheel Lane, plus Station Road and a footpath near the Snooty Fox.
The councillors hope to establish a regular schedule of action days.
Councillor Curtis says: "We're here to serve, and action days like this are a valuable way of doing that.
"We want to build up the initiative, bring in other volunteers and even seek to expand it to other parts of the Worth Valley."
Councillor Maunsell says: "Oakworth is a wonderful place, filled with wonderful people. We are proud to represent the village and are keen to do all we can to enable it to continue as a great place to live."
The colleagues praised Bradford Council for clearing a footpath connecting Waterwheel Lane and Hilltop Road, after Councillor Maunsell had reported issues.
